With the onset
of print-on-demand technologies, electronic document formats and
the Internet, a new world of self-publishing opportunities has opened
up.
Our fifteen years experience in the book publishing industry and
a serious commitment to quality, will help you bring your project
to a successful completion. The process is a partnership between
the author and Pacific Edge Publishing—a partnership where
both partners want to produce the best possible product.
Please review our step-by-step process and don't hesitate to
if you have any questions.
Step One - First Contact
The author contacts Pacific Edge Publishing and describes
the project. Pacific Edge Publishing answers questions about
the process. The author delivers the manuscript to Pacific Edge
Publishing for review.
Step Two - Editorial Review
Pacific Edge Publishing reviews the manuscript to determine the level of editing and the complexity
of lay-up required.
Step Three - Selecting the Options
Pacific Edge Publishing and the author confer to establish a Publishing Plan (level of editing, format, paper, printing, binding, etc.) from the options
available.
Step Four - Approving a Publishing Plan
Based on the options selected by the author, Pacific Edge Publishing
calculates a price for the work required and both parties sign
off on the Publishing Plan (50% of payment for services due).
Step Five - First Draft
Pacific Edge Publishing carries out the work on the project
based on the Publishing Plan and delivers the first draft to the
author.
Step Six - Final Alterations
Pacific Edge Publishing makes changes to the draft requested
by the author and orders a galley from the printer
(final 50% of payment for services is due).
Step Seven - Finished Galley and Printing
The author approves the galley and Pacific Edge Publishing
orders the requested number of copies (the author provides payment
for the print run).
The finished books are delivered to the author.
